Donation in Crash Victim’s Name Allows Madison Fire and Police Departments to Train Together for Crisis Situations During EMS Week
A sizeable donation has been made by Physicians Plus Insurance Corporation and the Meriter Foundation for new ballistic helmets, body armor, lighting equipment, special medical equipment, and evacuation equipment for Madison paramedics. The donation, in total, will fund the program and is being made in the name of Dr. Darren Bean, the physician who perished in a medical helicopter crash in May and the Fire Department’s former Medical Director who contributed to this project.

Physicians Plus Named Outstanding Community Partner
The YMCA of Dane County presented Physicians Plus with the Outstanding Community Partnership in Philanthropy Award at its annual meeting. We’re proud of our support for the “Y” on important public health programs like Activate America, KidzFit, Strong Kids and more. We’re extremely pleased to collaborate with the Y on such valuable work that helps our efforts to improve the health of our shared community!
